Chicken crust pizza

Macros and calories: Serving size: 8 slices. Serving size(2 slices) 243 calories, 9C, 7F, 38P

This may sound weird, but it was seriously so dang good! I couldn’t believe how yummy it was. And being packed full of protein made it even better!

Ingredients

Crust ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground chicken

  • 2 egg whites

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp Italian sesoning

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • cornmeal(optional for bottom or crust).

Toppings:

  • 1/2 C pizza sauce

  • 1/2 C cheese(I used daiya brand dairy free)

  • 120 grams chicken sausage or turkey pepperoni

  • 2 TBS sliced olives

  • Peppers, onion, jalapenos(any other veggies).

  • Balsamic glaze(optional once cooked)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 425. Line pizza pan with parchment paper. Optional(add cornmeal to parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, seasonings, egg whites until well combined.

  3. Spread mixture onto pizza pan. Spread out about 1/4 inch thick. Smooth edges.

  4. Bake the chicken crust 15-20 min until slightly golden edges.

  5. Add toppings.

  6. Return to oven and bake 5-10 minutes until cheese melted.

  7. Cool pizza before slicing.

  8. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar
