Chicken crust pizza
Macros and calories: Serving size: 8 slices. Serving size(2 slices) 243 calories, 9C, 7F, 38P
This may sound weird, but it was seriously so dang good! I couldn’t believe how yummy it was. And being packed full of protein made it even better!
Ingredients
Crust ingredients:
1 lb lean ground chicken
2 egg whites
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian sesoning
1/2 tsp salt
cornmeal(optional for bottom or crust).
Toppings:
1/2 C pizza sauce
1/2 C cheese(I used daiya brand dairy free)
120 grams chicken sausage or turkey pepperoni
2 TBS sliced olives
Peppers, onion, jalapenos(any other veggies).
Balsamic glaze(optional once cooked)
Directions
Preheat oven 425. Line pizza pan with parchment paper. Optional(add cornmeal to parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, seasonings, egg whites until well combined.
Spread mixture onto pizza pan. Spread out about 1/4 inch thick. Smooth edges.
Bake the chicken crust 15-20 min until slightly golden edges.
Add toppings.
Return to oven and bake 5-10 minutes until cheese melted.
Cool pizza before slicing.
Drizzle with balsamic vinegar
